I am honoured once again to be part of this successful organisation, supported by an enthusiastic board and membership of railway professionals.

Railway transportation has become an integral component of the total logistics supply chain. Rail is able to contribute reduced cost, increased efficiency and environmental benefits.
Railway transportation systems exist not only to service business, but to stimulate the economy. Efficient transportation is not only a matter of responding to a level of demand, but it has the capability to increase supply and stimulate business across the economy.
Australian rail continues to push the limits of efficiencies for business across the world. Our heavy investment in technological advancement and product development will ensure we continue to be a competitive player within the global market place.
From its humble beginnings some 17 years ago, ARIC has continued to grow, along with the Australian railway industry, representing Australian companies who now export billions of dollars of products and services.
Our member’s successes have given ARIC the opportunity to showcase the Australian designers, engineers and workforce who have attained an excellent level of performance.
ARIC is justly proud of its member’s continual achievement and success in a broadening array of markets.
The ever-changing, dynamic nature of the railway industry will continue to challenge Australian designers, manufacturers and operators. I am confident that individually and as a group we will continue to position our industry at the forefront of technology in the world market.
